How HATTOD collects, uses, protects and shares personal information.

Effective Date: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how HATTOD collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information in connection with its website, booking system, tracking tools, rider operations, customer support, and related delivery services.

1. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use HATTOD, we may process information such as your name, mobile number, email address, pickup and delivery addresses, recipient details, booking history, service instructions, payment-related records, customer-support communications, device or session information, and location information necessary for a delivery.

For riders, HATTOD may also process identification details, driver’s license information, vehicle and OR/CR records, compliance documents, rider photographs, transaction and earnings records, and GPS/location data when reasonably necessary for dispatch, safety, delivery verification, or platform operations.

2. Why we process information

HATTOD may process personal information to create and manage accounts, receive and complete bookings, assign riders, provide tracking, calculate charges, communicate about deliveries, process support requests, maintain transaction records, manage riders, prevent fraud, improve safety, operate the platform, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

3. Location information

Location data may be used for pickup and drop-off selection, rider dispatch, route assistance, live delivery tracking, safety, fraud prevention, and delivery verification. HATTOD aims to limit location processing to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

4. Information shared with riders and recipients

An assigned rider may receive only the customer, recipient, pickup, drop-off, contact, and booking information reasonably required to complete an assigned order. Riders are prohibited from using customer information for unrelated personal, marketing, or harassment purposes.

5. Service providers and lawful disclosure

HATTOD may share necessary information with authorized technology, hosting, mapping, payment, communications, insurance, accounting, professional, or other service providers that support legitimate business operations. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, lawful order, regulatory obligation, or a valid government request.

6. Data minimization

HATTOD seeks to collect only information that is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is processed. Customers and riders should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive or confidential information through booking notes or support messages.

7. Security

HATTOD will use reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical safeguards, which may include access controls, authentication, role-based permissions, database security rules, backups, logging, restricted administrative access, and security monitoring.

8. Retention

Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for delivery operations, accounting, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, regulatory requirements, and other legitimate business purposes. Different records may have different retention periods.

9. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable Philippine law, individuals may have rights to be informed, access personal information, request correction, object to certain processing, and request blocking or erasure where legally applicable, as well as other rights provided under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and related regulations.

10. Cookies and technical data

The HATTOD website or app may use cookies, local storage, session information, IP/device information, and technical logs for essential functionality, authentication, security, fraud prevention, performance, or analytics.

11. Children

HATTOD does not intentionally seek unnecessary personal information from children. Where a transaction involves a minor, a parent, guardian, or other legally authorized adult should supervise the booking when appropriate.

12. Privacy requests

Privacy questions or requests may be submitted through the official HATTOD Contact page. HATTOD may need to verify the requester’s identity before granting access to or changing personal information.
